A Creators Only Fear. A story by Colton Sturgeon
An old man in small town Sweden, once saw me scrambling for my camera only for me to realize I hadn't brought it with me. He asked me why I was so disappointed and I told him that I'd just missed an incredible shot of the sunset over the fiery sparkling lake. He then said something that will stay with me until death.

"The best photos are the ones taken with out a camera."

In that moment I realized that a photographer sees every incredible place they have ever ventured through the eye piece of their camera. They remember those adventures through the print of that photograph, but they forget what it was like to be there. To stand there. It's my fear of never reaching greatness that drives me to that next perfect shot, but its that old Scandinavian mans words that remind me to put the camera down and immerse my self in my surroundings. Appreciate where I am and how I got there. And then take the shot.

       - The story that drives my creativity. Read more below.
